Kinja'd!!!

Now I really, really want a C4 Corvette.

It must be ratty. It must be clapped out. It is imperative that one of the headlights not retract properly. Examples with good clutches need not apply. It must have more shakes and rattles than a drunken sorority party. A worn-and-torn interior is a requirement. The fiberglass must be cracked in places with the paint faded, bubbling, and/or chipped. Bonus points for a half-functional, completely inaccurate digital dash.

And she and I will go dancing down any back road or boulevard we can find, not giving a damn what anyone thinks, and smiling and laughing as we indulge ourselves in our imperfections.

An imperfect car. An imperfect driver. And zero fucks given.

This is what dreams are made of.

So you want a typical 240SX, but don't want to associate with the Japanese.

Dude, C4 Corvettes were ratty and trashy before S13s ever even hit the road. They are the originals.

Make sure it's a pre 89 so you get the full Atari experience

Oh, God. But then I'd have to deal with the shitty old L98 and the Nash 4+3 manual...

Unless you want the full Corvette experience, and get an automatic and a X-fire 84

That's just all sorts of bad wrapped up in a car. Howerver, you can always slam your head against the loaf of bread Chevy was kind enough to affix to the passenger side of the dashboard.

That drivetrain is anything but shitty! I daily drive an '85 and that first gen SBC and quirky 4 speed (that is reliable with proper use and maintenance) work well and make for more of a classic car.

I love the C4. 87 or 88 please. With a digital dash and pre-facelift. Yes they were underpowered, just like nearly everything was in the 80s. But I prefer the visual design over anything since.

How about a '91? The dash tach is wrong, there are cracks in the floor pan, a rip in the "window" of the top, the driver door window scratches against something inside the door. It's got an L98 with over 100k, and although both headlights work (intermittently, of course) the sensor is not working and it continually snaps for 15 seconds.

On the other hand, I've tried to get the car on the road, so I have already replaced the water pump (you're welcome) and the fuel injectors (again, you're welcome.)

Bonus points: the radio doesn't work. Please help me make room for the 2013 427.
